2025 Multi-family Project of the Year Winners
1st Place: 1 Aberfoyle
Wiklém Design+BUILD inc., in collaboration with Wiklém Design inc. and PAC Building Group, delivered a transformative refurbishment of 1 Aberfoyle Crescent’s landmark lobby and shared common areas. This bold redesign celebrates the architecture’s natural light and openness through high-contrast finishes, contemporary detailing, and thoughtful spatial upgrades.
From revitalizing sculpted wood paneling to reimagining the concierge desk and parcel storage, every design decision balanced form and function. Key upgrades included faux marble-clad columns, Italian-inspired flooring, and custom furnishings that echo the building’s character while elevating everyday experience.
Engaging residents early in the process helped ensure alignment with community needs, while operational enhancements supported staff functionality and long-term use. The result is a dramatically modernized, welcoming environment that reflects both the building’s legacy and its future—setting a new benchmark for urban multifamily living.
2nd Place: Hollybridge
Set in Richmond’s premier community, Hollybridge at River Green blends British heritage with modern sophistication. Inspired by pioneer Samuel Brighouse, the design at Lot 17 reflects traditional British interior details—millwork, crown moldings, and rich fabrics—balanced with contemporary finishes. Lobby and amenity spaces feature high-end elements like cognac leathers, Chesterfield sofas, chandeliers, and curated displays of English gin and whiskey. The result is a warm, inviting atmosphere that honors tradition while leaning into a refined, modern aesthetic.
3rd Place: 263 Wellington
De Style Design Inc. and Devman Group Inc. transformed this downtown Toronto condominium with contemporary elegance. A warm neutral palette, textured wall coverings, statement carpets, and refined lighting unify the interiors—delivering boutique-level sophistication. The project exemplifies how thoughtful, high-caliber design can elevate the everyday experience in residential settings beyond the hospitality sphere.
